There are many islands likes Krabi, Phuket, Koh Samui, Phi Phi islands, that actually make up Thailand. Bangkok is the capital and most famous city of Thailand. The street food, the tuk tuk rides, the shopping, the night markets and late night walks on beaches the list is never ending. So here are some of the places that Bangkok is famous for.

1. The floating markets in Bangkok are among the city’s star attractions. Almost every traveller has a visit to at least one on their first trip to Bangkok. The best thing about the floating markets in Bangkok is that they are open all day and you don’t even have to sacrifice your sleep on a holiday. The top three floating markets in Bangkok are Damnoen Saduak market, Amphawa floating market and Taling Chan floating market. These three are the floating markets to which a lot of tourists come.

2. The temples in Bangkok are a unique part of the capital. The temples are not just a tourist attraction spot but they also play an important part in Buddhist traditions. A visit to Bangkok is not complete without visiting a temple. The best time to visit the temple is in the early morning. It is less crowded and you can enter the temple easily. Although there are some rules like, always wear appropriate clothes, no shorts etc. that should always be followed by the people.

3. Asiatique The Riverfront is Bangkok’s first large scale river side project which includes shopping, rides, restaurants as well as street food. It is basically a night market which starts at 6pm and is open all night. At first it was not famous but now it is the number one tourist destination.

4. Platinum fashion mall specialises in wholesale fashion clothing and accessories, with 6 floors of shopping space. Platinum mall is sp big that it could take up your entire day. It is quite cheap as well. It has shops which includes casual clothing’s. Some of the shops have the same stuff but the prices could vary.

5. Bangkok is famous for its night life. There are two types of night life in Bangkok. Those who want to shop and buy stuff can go to the night markets which are on every street. The party animals can party till 5 in the morning at the famous night clubs like Sky Bar- lebua, Levels, Insanity etc.

Manoj, a 42 year old who lives in Mayapuri Chowk, with his family. He comes to work from there every single day without fail. 

He comes to Rajouri Garden with his cart in the evening, goes to different lanes and stays there till late but unfortunately there are times when his stuff finishes in in 2-3 hours. He gets half prepared stuff from home. And looks to be satisfied as he feeds his customers with patience and a smile. He is working since 20 years, and has opted for new techniques and utensils for the coming time. He fries Aloo tikki and makes sure that the oil is penetrated away from the tikki as nowadays people don’t like oily food. He serves Aloo tikki with lots of passion as he makes the plate of tikki more or less like a full meal which is awesome. Also, he makes Aloo tikki burger which is amazing. And the Aloo chat that has a tangy taste in it. He is a person full of life who tries to make his customers smile and treats them with respects. 

There has recently been a surge in the number of bars and pubs coming up. The amount that the younger generation is investing has been one of the major reasons behind the popularization of the bars and pubs in our country.

With changing time and trends, customers now prefer to dine at a place serving both great food, alcohol as well as the new age trend of Hookah in a dim lighting. Sona from Kolkata is a household helper who is in her 50’s. She does a lot of work like ironing clothes, washing the dishes, cooking food etc. She came to Delhi to find a job as she struggled a lot with money. Her story is very inspirational as well.

Her husband got into an accident and was not keeping well due to which he was not able to work and earn money for his family. She has three children- first child(son) who has a job in Mumbai but does not get paid enough, second child(son) who sits at home and does not bother to do anything, and third child(daughter) who is happily married which was really hard for the parents to arrange everything but for her daughter’s happiness managed somehow.

This woman travelled all the way from Kolkata to Delhi all by herself in search for a job in order to fulfil her families need. She searched for jobs at different locations and different houses. The struggle was real but she did not give up.

After a few weeks and struggle looking for work in cold winters and roaming around here and there all by herself, she finally found a job at a house after being rejected so many times and she was ready to do it as not many options were left. She started her job from the next day and did it with her full potential and we could see the needs and wants in her eyes and how much she wanted a job.

After a few months she sent her first salary home and made her family proud. This kept her working and motivated her as well. She kept on earning and sending the money to her family and mostly for her husband’s health. After a few years her husband started to feel a little better, this motivated her even more and continued her job as a household helper.

This story motivated everybody around her who took their work as a joke and is an inspiration for many.

Ice-cream Vendor, Ramesh, is an inspirational person who struggles everyday just to keep his family happy whom he loves a lot. He comes every day from very far to Punjabi Bagh club road with his ice cream stall and stands in any type of weather, whether it be cold, humid etc. just to earn some money by selling ice creams.

He is married and has two daughters who are still very young. His first born found about her illness that she had kidney damage. The family was in shock but the father did not give up. He had 10 days till her daughter’s surgery and had to do everything in those 10 days only.

In those 10 days he showed his full potential and worked even harder than usual. He expanded his working hours and worked from dusk till dawn and did not even take a break. He roamed around everywhere and covered as many locations as he could in a day.

On the day of the surgery he gave everything he had and what he had earned in those last 10 days. His daughter recovered and his hard work paid off. His daughter was thankful to him and took him as her role model and a few years later she got a job and worked really hard.

This man inspired a lot of people and showed what true dedication is. He now goes to work every day with a positive attitude and does not give up on his hopes to be able to buy a car someday.
