Bhoot Review: A movie on the haunted ship

It is a story on a man who is a shipping officer Prithvi (Vicky Kaushal) and is going through a massive personal lost.

This movie is based on a true incident. In the starting, the scenes were quit chilling but later it turns to the flashes of the incident that led to the Sea Bird becoming the haunted ship. Vicky Kaushal (Prithvi) carries his guilt and also his new mission with honesty.

Bhumika Pednekar (Jyoti) as Prithvi’s wife puts a short and special appearance, while Ashutosh Rana as professor Joshi was someone who chased away the ghost. Even his chanting of mantras failed.

Generally, horror films in Bollywood are funny, but this was the first film which was a bit scary. It was scary because of its sound effects, nothing else. The make up done to the characters were a bit funny. But the film managed to throw some terrifying moments. Overall this movie didn’t bore the audience even once, everyone were so engrossed in the film.

The duration of the movie was short. Leaving us with some abrupt scenes. Also, the movie ended abruptly leaving us waiting for the big reveal because the ghost is still around. It did give you goosebumps but also it made you laugh.

Our clients are basically in Germany as it is quite a big market for leather goods.

My father started this business as he found a lot of demand for leather products from buyers visiting India as they liked the quality and price of our leather garments.

Q4. What difficulties do you face in your career?

We basically face a lot of problem in getting skilled workers in India as most of the workers we get are untrained and after getting experience they leave and start their own work. So that is the main problem we face.

Q5. How has your personality developed?

My personality has really developed as I get an opportunity to travel all over the world to find new opportunities and learn new things all the time. I have become more experienced on how to handle our customers demands and satisfy their intricate requirements.

I travel about once a month depending on work requirements because nowadays it is so much easier to do business online thanks to the internet and smart phones which have really helped a lot. But earlier my work involved a lot of travelling.

I was always more inclined towards the creative fields and makeup was something which really helped me show my creativity and earn well at the same time. I have so much fun doing makeup that it doesn’t feel like work. It was and is the best option for me as I also love teaching people and teaching makeup has a lot of scope in times where every girl wants to learn makeup.

In my field of makeup, I have never faced a problem in managing my personal life as I have flexible hours and I am my own boss. It works out really well.

Q5. If a client is not happy with their look, how do you respond?

I try to explain why I did the look that way in favour of them and if they’re still not happy I tell them I’m still here and I’ll change whatever is needed till my client is not absolutely satisfied. For eg – in India many a times people want to look fair, I try to explain that carrying your own skin colour will give them a better glow and it won’t grey out, but if they are still not happy I do what they like. In the end what your client wants is the most important thing .

Chandni Popli: A student chasing her dreams

We recently got a chance to interact with Chandni Popli, 23 years old. Graduated from NIFT, Delhi and now is doing her Post graduation from LIM Collage, New York. In our conversation today, she will be sharing her feelings about a complete different environment and the feeling of staying away from your comfort zone.

Q1) Why did you choose to study abroad ans what course are you doing?

I chose to study abroad because this country has better opportunities and can provide me with more growth in the industry. I feel like there are more opportunities in this country and you get to know more about the world and different cultures rather than just having limited knowledge only about India.

Q2) What was the feeling when you left your hometown ans went for your further studies ?

I was excited to go to a completely new country and finally live in the city I always dreamt to live in. However, there was a  little bit of anxiety as well since I had to live on my own for the first time, I didn’t have any friends in New York and i had to kind of start my life all over again.

Q3) How did you settle there? What was the feeling like ?

Its difficult to manage everything on your own and starting an entirely new life with no friends to begin with. In India, the lifestyle is completely different. We have help to do our household work, etc. Here, everything has to be done on our own. For me, It was a little difficult in the beginning but I got used to and now I enjoy doing all the household chores since they have become like a routine.

Q4) What is your take on the education there compared to India?

If i compare my bachelors college to my masters college i feel like i could learn alot more if i did my bachelors here. But it obviously depends from school to school and not really country to country.

Q5) Can you share your one good and bad experience?

Good experience- I made friends with many international students from many countries and learned about so many different countries.

Bad experience- my bag got stolen from the car in my first week. I lost my cards, cash and Airpods.

Q6) Do you want to come back or settle there?

I want to settle here but it can be a bery tough process since it is difficult for international students to get visa sponsorships from companies here.

Q7) One good thing about New York?

7) The good thing about New York is that this is the city where people come to fulfill their dreams. The world’s richest and the worlds’ poorest people are located in the city making it a very diverse place to live in. Additionally, there are people from all over the world who have come here to follow their dreams. If you want to live in New York you need to learn to be on your toes 24×7. It is the city never sleeps.

Q8) Are you doing any job in your free time to keep you busy?

No, Im currently not doing any job since I am on a student visa and that restricts me from working in the states during my study period. But I do freelance modelling for my relatives and family friends since they have a garment business.
