The exchange of cultures between two countries

I studied in Springdales School, Pusa road and apart from the academics and cultural activities they also focused on international relations. An exchange program to Germany was planned every year which was extremely interesting and also educational.

My friend, Harshita was lucky enough to go for the exchange trip to Stuttgart, Germany and she shared her views on the whole experience.

Ludwigsburg, Germany

The trip was for about 10 days in which they also visited Strasbourg, France. She mentioned how enlightening it was to live with a German family, getting to know all their traditions and their style of living.

They took great care of her. The German school had organised several functions which ensured the strong bonding between the students and the families like a picnic, dinners etc. The Indian partners also performed an assembly which included dances and songs portraying the Indian culture. All together it was a fun trip for her.

Strasbourg, Germany

Almost 3 months later it was the German’s turn to come over to India. Their trip is during Diwali so that they can experience the rich culture of our country. My friend’s partner bonded with her family as well as her friends. She was a part of the Diwali celebrations including putting up henna, decorating the house, wearing Indian clothes and being a part of the Pooja. My friend’s partner was overwhelmed with the welcoming nature of everyone around her.

To sum it up, my friend had a great experience and she was extremely happy and satisfied with the exchange program.
