Song: Phir Se Ud Chala
Album: Rockstar (2011)
Composer: A. R. Rahman
Lyrics: Irshad Kamil
Singer: Mohit Chauhan
How often does it happen that you listen to a song and it calms your soul? All you can think of is peace, satisfaction and serenity. The tunes, beats and melodies make you want to be free. Free from all the stress in this world. You just feel like disconnecting from the world and living in a shell of your own where you have your own freedom. Freedom to do whatever you want. Freedom to travel where you want. Freedom to follow your dreams. Freedom to speak your heart out.
“Sheher ek se, gaaon ek se, log ek se, naam ek”. These lines exactly tell us, that no matter where we live, where we belong to, we’re all the same from within. The basic human feeling to feel free and find who we really are. This songs makes you want to fly places, it tells us to follow our dreams and be who we really are. This song plays exactly at that point in the movie when Jordan and Heer decide to go against the world, and speak their hearts out. Without caring about the world, they set on to a journey in a small little world of their own.
The ultimate awakening of oneself lies in the moment you take a stand for yourself in life and speaking out what you want from your life. There might be times when the world will blame you or put you down, but that isn’t the end of the world. We’re all bad in someone else’s story. But that doesn’t mean you put a stop to your story. Everyone’s happiness and freedom lies within them. “Kisi manzar par main ruka nahi, kabhi khud se bhi mai mila nahi”. All answers to life will be found the day you find yourself. This song tells us exactly that. Set yourself free, travel the world, find who you are and feel grateful for this life.

Great insights. Can hardly believe this is written by a 19 year old. Seems so worldy wise.
