We import leather from China and also source locally from Kanpur and Chennai which are the hubs of leather trade in India. We export leather garments to Germany only.

Q2. How is your cliental base set up abroad in different parts of the world?

Our clients are basically in Germany as it is quite a big market for leather goods.

Q3. Why did you choose this as your career?

My father started this business as he found a lot of demand for leather products from buyers visiting India as they liked the quality and price of our leather garments.

Q4. What difficulties do you face in your career?

We basically face a lot of problem in getting skilled workers in India as most of the workers we get are untrained and after getting experience they leave and start their own work. So that is the main problem we face.

My personality has really developed as I get an opportunity to travel all over the world to find new opportunities and learn new things all the time. I have become more experienced on how to handle our customers demands and satisfy their intricate requirements.

Q6 Has your career been affected from the time you started vs now and if yes then how?

Earlier we were not so organized but once I joined my father’s business, I helped him to streamline it and become more professional. Also before demonetization the work was going on really good but due to demonetization it has affected our work very little.

Q7. How often do you travel abroad for your work?

I travel about once a month depending on work requirements because nowadays it is so much easier to do business online thanks to the internet and smart phones which have really helped a lot. But earlier my work involved a lot of travelling.
